Meety - All-in-One Mentorship Platform
I contributed to building Meety, a full-stack platform that combines mentor discovery, session booking, real-time messaging, calendar integration, Stripe payments, communities, courses, certificates, and role-based dashboards. The result is one responsive system where learners can connect and grow while mentors manage their services, content, earnings, and audience.

The problem
Mentors and learners often rely on separate tools for discovery, scheduling, communication, payments, communities, and courses. This creates a fragmented experience and makes managing mentorship difficult for both users and administrators.
One Platform, Three Role-Based Experiences
I helped structure Meety around three distinct roles: mentees, mentors, and administrators. Each role receives dedicated navigation, permissions, dashboards, and workflows while sharing the same React application and Laravel API. This reduced duplicated functionality while keeping each experience focused.
Booking as a Controlled State Machine
Session booking was designed as a clear lifecycle covering requests, payments, confirmations, completion, cancellation, and refunds. Business rules are enforced by the Laravel backend instead of being inferred by the frontend, preventing invalid transitions and keeping booking behavior consistent across every interface.
Payments Separated from Product Access
The payment architecture treats financial records and product access as separate sources of truth. Stripe webhooks confirm money movement, while enrollment, subscription, and booking records control access. Idempotent event processing protects the system from duplicate or out-of-order webhook deliveries.
Real-Time Features Without Sacrificing Reliability
Laravel Reverb powers live messaging, typing indicators, read receipts, presence, and notifications. WebSocket events improve responsiveness, but the REST API remains the source of truth. If a connection drops or an event is missed, the client can refetch and recover the correct state.
Domain-Oriented Frontend Architecture
The React and TypeScript frontend is organized around product domains such as bookings, courses, communities, messaging, billing, and onboarding. TanStack Query manages server state and caching, while centralized routes, query keys, and API configuration keep data access predictable and easier to maintain.
Asynchronous Media and Notification Processing
Long-running work such as video processing, email delivery, notifications, and media publishing is handled through Laravel queues and background jobs. This keeps user-facing requests fast while allowing failed tasks to be retried and monitored independently.
